FAQs for waVe AntiVirus Version 1.0

Question 1: During Installation of waVe AntiVirus from the Internet I get a dialogue box that says “authenticode not found”. What does it mean?

Answer: This message will only appear on a few systems. It means that CyberSoft did not pay the money necessary to have this message not appear. It is suppose to be an authentication of CyberSoft’s web site as a valid source for the installation of software. Since the only effect of not having this feature is that you will sometimes see this message the problem is a low priority issue that will be resolved sometime in the future. It has no effect on the operation of the program and you will only see the message upon initial installation from the web.

Question 2: When installing a new version of waVe Antivirus 1.0 over an older Beta version the uninstall process fails. What do I do ?

Answer: Simply uninstall the old version of wave manually through the Start menu or through Add/Remove Programs from the control panel and restart the install process.

Question 3: I want to scan my CD’s or floppy’s before I install from them. How do I scan them ?

Answer: Click on the Administration button in the main waVe Main Menu. In the Virus Scan configure window, click on the folder option in the “Scan” options. In the text window next to the “Browse” button, type the drive letter of your CD-ROM or floppy drive (example: D:\ or A:\) or press the “Browse” button and select your CD-ROM or floppy drive letter and press “Apply” then “OK”. The virus scan window will pop up. Select whether you want archived files to be scan or not and press the scan button. The scan of your CD or floppy will now begin.
